Our Mission

"Alive to our Baptismal call as Catholics, we are joined together as followers of Christ.  United in the faith community of St. John the Evangelist Parish, we are enabled and challenged to live by the law of love.  Grateful for the inherited gifts of the Eucharist, sacraments, scripture, and tradition, we are committed to the service of one another in furthering the growth of the Kingdom of God."

Prayer of Spiritual Communion:

"My Jesus, I believe you are really here in the Blessed Sacrament. I love you more than anything in the world, and I hunger to receive you. But since I cannot receive Communion at this moment, feed my soul at least spiritually. I unite myself to you now as I do when I actually receive you."

We should continue to pray for one another during these trying times. Catholics and all people should use this opportunity to devote time for prayer and spiritual renewal. This may include meditating on Sacred Scripture, observing Mass on television or the internet, praying a rosary, or other spiritual practices.
